This one is for you if you want to establish yourself as a thought leader.

Many people discuss personal branding, and many experts offer helpful tips, tricks, hacks, and tactics.

A while ago, a close friend, who was aware of the challenges I had been facing and the work I had been doing, recommended the book Key Person of Influence by Daniel Priestley, which shifted my outlook on this topic.

The book is a practical guide that outlines a step-by-step process for building a personal brand, becoming a go-to source for information and ideas in one's field, and attracting opportunities.

The interesting fact is that if you check out the major brands, you'll find the founders are the primary contributors to their success.

Tim Cook has more social media followers than Apple.

Richard Branson has more followers than Virgin.

Elon Musk has more followers than Tesla.

You got the point!

The goal is not to be an influencer but a thought leader.

The book clarified several points that changed my approach to managing this by following the 5P's method:

1. Pitch

The ability to introduce new ways of thinking/doing and to communicate your message and value to others.

2. Publish

Be prolific in creating valuable content regularly and share it to showcase your expertise.

3. Product

Develop an ecosystem of related products or services that solve problems for your target audience.

4. Profile

Raise your profile by shining a light for others and building a reputation through effective networking and social media.

5. Partner

Form partnerships with individuals and organizations that share your values and mission to extend your reach and fulfill your goals.

Most of us who embarked on the journey to pursue a mission are completing these steps in a scattered order. Therefore, ensuring these steps are managed correctly and creating a flywheel is essential.

Also, you must ensure that you pay attention to the essential component for achieving this. If you have clarity on your purpose and set clear values that align with your mission, you will do it all right.

I'm still exploring ways to improve my approach to this.

Consistency is key, and a 1% daily improvement will exponentially have a massive impact in the long term.

When you're ready, get in touch so we can go over this, share my learnings, and see how I can assist.

Until next time.
